About Becki

Becki grew up in a semi-rural part of San Diego County, where slow-paced days gave her the freedom to wander, read, paint, and dream. Even though art was always at the top of her list, it was dismissed it as “not a real career.” Instead, her journey led her to Orange, CA and Boston, MA for college and grad school, where she studied social work before returning to San Diego to a career supporting children and families.

Even during her time in social work, creativity was never far away—whether she was designing a cozy home space, mothering her two daughters, nurturing friendships, or hosting gatherings that reflected her colorful spirit.

In 2016, Becki was able to step away from full-time work to finally make space for art. In 2018, she immersed herself in the nine-month Intentional Creativity® Color of Woman teacher training with Shiloh Sophia—a journey that culminated in publishing a collection of work from the course and to offer classes. Then in 2020, she added to her creative journey by training as a SoulPages® Facilitator in visual journaling.

That pivotal year the world braked and brought a slower pace to life, giving her the chance to dive deeper into her artistic style and experiment with fresh ideas. Influential mentors like Louise Fletcher (Find Your Joy) and Nicholas Wilton (Creative Visionary Program) provided insights that helped her refine and expand her creative voice.

Today, her days are filled with inspiration—whether she’s exploring a new trail, losing herself in a good book, or getting her hands delightfully paint-splattered in creative experiments. Becki now splits her time between San Diego and Seattle with her wife, visiting with a daughter in each city and hanging out with friends while also wrangling their adorable tiny pup, Maude.
